SBS-7600 2-K Nano-Ceramic Coating by Smarter Building Systems LLC
SBS-7600 is an advanced 2-K Nano-Ceramic Long Life Color Coating known for its remarkable UV resistance and durability, making it an ideal choice for industrial applications. Here are the key features and application details:

UV Resistant and Durable
SBS-7600 offers exceptional UV resistance and creates a hard, long-lasting finish, making it well-suited for industrial use.

Self-Priming
This coating is self-priming on most substrates, reducing the time and labor required for application. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including above-water line marine use, architectural projects, industrial applications, agricultural structures, and heavy-service land-based or offshore structures and equipment.

Color Options
SBS-7600 is available in a variety of standard colors, and custom colors can be accommodated.

Compatibility with SBS-520 Primer
It can be used with SBS-520 primer to improve adhesive bonding, especially on challenging-to-bond materials or surfaces contaminated with silicone.
Application Methods
-
SBS-7600 can be applied using spray, roller, or brush methods.
-
Components A and B should be power-mixed to achieve a uniform consistency.
-
Due to flammability, appropriate mixing equipment and ventilation are required. Refer to the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.

Surface Preparation:
For Metal or Non-Ferrous Surfaces:
-
Ideally, start with a clean and dry surface. Abrasive blasting (white blast) is preferred for metal surfaces, followed by immediate coating to prevent flash-rusting.
-
If abrasive blasting is not possible, mechanical methods or a hand descaling brush can be used to remove loose rust scale or flaking paint.
For Gelcoat or Composite Surfaces:
-
Clean the surface thoroughly with a suitable cleaning solution or sand it to create a prepared surface. Ensure the removal of oils, dust, or other foreign matter.
-
SBS-7600 can also be top-coated with SBS-40 nano-ceramic clear coat for added protection.
Spray Equipment:
-
Always test the application technique on a sacrificial substrate before using it on the final part.
-
Recommended spray nozzle orifice: 1.5 to 2.0mm.
-
Recommended nozzle pressure: 0.3 to 0.4 MPa or 58psi.
-
It is advised to apply the coating with a tack coat followed by the typical box coat method for uniform thickness.
-
For spray application, apply with 50% overlapping passes to ensure an even coating.
-
Clean tools with MEK or a similar solvent.
